Grass is Greener
Hi, I'm Jake and this is my Grass is Greener project. I'm a sophomore enrolled in AP Human Geography. I was assigned a focus country and was tasked to incorporate an element from that country to Seattle. My country was Finland which consistently ranks among the happiest countries while also having high accessibility to nature. I believe that those two are correlated. I consider myself an outdoorsy person and Washington's landscape is unique to other states. One of the issues though is that its difficult to find public transportation to places like National Parks, and if there is, there's little awareness. I created this website to act as a guide for people who might not have their own transportation or who don't feel like driving to these far out places. My goal is to spread awareness and potentially increase the happiness score among Washingtonians because, lets face it, we could take a break from the city. Another outcome I am hoping for is increasing the demand for these transit routes, results in expansions to other places. I curated these trails and transportation routes just for you to enjoy!
